Construction of the new Passenger Terminal at the Pierre Regional Airport in South Dakota has been awarded to Dean Kurtz Construction.

This inovative project will include the construction of a new 20,000 sf building, which will double the size of the current airport.

The new Passenger Terminal will add ticket and rental counters as well as a baggage handling area. The project will include geothermal mechanical systems, HVAC, pluming, granite veneer & wainscot, a radius standing seam metal roof, structural steel framing, cast-in-place concrete foundations, load bearing studs with masonry/granite veneer, and custom casework and finish carpentry.

The City of Pierre is the owner of this project, Civil Engineer and Primary contact is Kadrmas, Lee & Jackson of Rapid City, SD. The Architect of Record is CooverClark of Denver, CO. Construction is scheduled to begin spring of 2011 with an estimated completion date of April 2012.
