Invitation to Bid: JECA Visitor Center Restroom Remodel and Airlock Door Hinges

Dean Kurtz Construction will be bidding the JECA Visitor Center Restroom Remodel and Airlock Door Hinges project in Custer, SD, as prime contractor. Firms submitting bids are requested to do so by 10:00 am Mountain Time on Wednesday July 30th, 2025

Bidders are to be aware that DOL Wage Requirement (formerly known as Davis-Bacon Act) apply as well as a Buy American Requirement. Please note that Executive Order 14026 also applies to this contract. If bidders have any questions, please inquire with Dean Kurtz Construction (605) 343-6665.
Bids will be received in accordance with the Construction Documents, as prepared by the Schemmer dated January 10, 2025. Bids will be accepted electronically; email bids to bids@deankurtzconstruction.com,  or fax to (605) 343-5932.
Plans and Specifications will be made available through Dean Kurtz Construction’s website. Plans and Specifications can be found at this address https://www.deankurtzplans.com#files/share/E18A134A72  Printing of documents will be the responsibility of the bidder obtaining the documents. Please contact Dean Kurtz Construction at (605) 343-6665 if you have any questions.
Those bidders who obtain a full set or sets of the Bidding Documents will receive addenda via email as addenda is issued, and will be responsible for printing the addenda at their own expense. It will be the responsibility of the bidder to periodically review Dean Kurtz Construction’s website for issued addenda.
Bidders are not required to deposit a bid security with their bids.
No bidder may withdraw a bid for 75 days following the bid opening without a written request explaining the cause of the withdrawal and without written consent of the Owner after reviewing the cause.
The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all Bids without explanation and to waive irregularities.
By submitting a bid, all bidders acknowledge the Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids or parts hereof, and to waive any irregularities of any bid. The Owner further reserves the right to award the Contract to the lowest responsible bidder and also reserves the right to award the Contract in the best interest of the Owner, as determined solely by the Owner.
